Policy on Photos of Celebrities' Children

In recent months, celebrities like Jennifer Garner, Halle Berry, and Kristen Bell and Dax Shephard have spoken out against the use of unauthorized photos and videos of celebrities' children that appear on many entertainment websites. As mothers and fathers and aunts and uncles, the Zimbio team is sensitive to celebrities' desires to keep their children's lives private, so we wanted to share our policy on this issue with our readers.

As per our photo syndication program, Zimbio automatically ingests and publishes all photos from our photo agency partners, who employ their own freelance photographers. A quick perusal of our massive photo archive will reveal that the vast majority of our photos do not involve the children of celebrities. As entertainment journalists, we cannot assume which celebrities do not want their children photographed and which celebrities have no problem with it. It has always been our policy to remove photos of minors if we receive an official request from a parent or guardian, and this will still be our policy moving forward.

Any celebrity who would like unauthorized photos of their child removed from Zimbio can have someone from their official team reach out to us at nokids@livingly.com. We will remove these photos from our site in a timely manner and will continue to remove any additional unauthorized photos of that child that may come into our system. Exceptions would include any photos taken at red carpet events, concerts and sports games, and shared on social media.

As a proactive measure, Zimbio has decided to remove photos of the children of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, Halle Berry, and Kristen Bell and Dax Shephard. These celebrities have made it clear that they do not want their children photographed in unauthorized settings and have actively campaigned against aggressive photographers, and we respect that.

The Livingly Media team prides itself on creating engaging, playful entertainment and celebrity content. We welcome the opportunity to evolve and we thank our loyal readers for their support!
